Garden Competitions

Llanthony District Garden Club

Each year, there are a range of competitions for local gardeners to show off their talents. From pruning the perfect hedge to childrens flower in a pot there is a chance for everyone. The categories change each year to make the most of the variety of gardens and gardeners in the area.

Quality, Quantity & Perfection are not necessary!

For 2018 the Garden Competition Classes are as follows:

Class One: Most Productive Vegetable Garden

Fred Probert Perpetual Challenge Cup
Judges will be seeking variety and continuity of produce rather than quality and quantity

Class Two: Children's under 12, Best Scarecrow made from recycled material

Class Three: Best flower border or bed

Class Four: Best Planter, Pot or Tub

Class Five: The One Thing People Say They Like Best About My Garden....


Entries are FREE, with prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in all classes

Judging takes place a week or two before the Show, with results and photographs of the winning entries displayed in the produce tent on Show day
